Materials:
- Oatmeal Canister
- Fabric or wall paper scraps
- Scissors
- Glue
- Lace trim or ribbon
Homemade Doll Cradle Making:
Step 1: Create your Cradle
Begin by covering your work area with newspaper, take your oatmeal canister and with either your scissors or an exacto knife cut out the shape of your cradle.
Step2: Cut Fabric
Once you have your shape you next step to precut your piece of fabric or wallpaper to match the shape of your cradle, if your not using scraps. The easiest way to do this is to lay the fabric over the cradle, and mark your cut lines with a pencil. Then simply cut out your pieces.
Step 3: Glue it all together
Now that you have your fabric or wallpaper pieces you just want to apply the glue to the backs of these pieces and smooth them onto your container, If your using scraps of fabric, you can simply lay down the pieces however you want to make a truly unique cradle. Once your done smoothing out any bubbles, it¦s time to apply the finishing touch, your ribbon or lace.
Step 4: Add your trim
Simply dab some glue on the edge of your ribbon or lace and lay the trim anywhere you want.
