Most moms enjoy redecorating, but want to hold onto something that will always remind them of their child's earliest years. As a mom, Jamie Risdon Lentzner recognized this need and, shortly after the birth of her second child in 2002, began her home based business, Jamie¦s Painting and Design. With a degree in Computer Art and a background in animation, whimsical, childlike designs come naturally to Jamie. Using ceramic tile and ribbon, Jamie creates personalized wall art in a variety of themes and colors. Moms can choose from an assortment of individually hanging letter tiles or ceramic plaques which feature an original illustration, their child's name and year of birth. Ceramic tile, while a less traditional medium for children¦s art,lends itself to keepsakes. It doesn't fade or break down over time, and its flat, compact shape is easily wrapped and stored. Over the past 4 years, Jamie's Painting & Design has grown exponentially. What started as a 1 person side business in her Foster City, CA garage is now a fully staffed operation with its own studio.ß Recent additions to her product offering include a line of Christmas ornaments and personalized children's dinner plates.
